Try this on your next flight using the PHANTOM 4 PRO
Still Image Size
3:2 Aspect Ratio: 5472 × 3648
4:3 Aspect Ratio: 4864 × 3648
16:9 Aspect Ratio: 5472 × 3078 (5K resolution is 5120 × 2880)
5K resolution refers to display formats with a horizontal resolution of about 5,000 pixels. The most common 5K resolution is 5120 × 2880, which has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and is about 14.7 million pixels (just over seven times as many pixels as 1080p Full HD),
Set the P4P to take 16:9 format still RAW images, at 2 sec intervals (JPG) 3 sec intervals for RAW and using POI or Course Lock fly forward at a steady 3-4mph, Using course lock pick a point to keep positioned in a stationery spot in the view finder grid.
Your finished video will play at 25 frames per second so each minute of flight is roughly 1 second of finished movie, give or take a few frames.
So TEN minutes slow steady flying , at around 2-3 metres per second, will result in (300images) or 12 second of hyperlapse footage when processed through Lightroom and Premier Pro/After Effects.
Learn how a drone hyperlapse is done! Aaron Rajamoney, director of aerial imaging from UAVisuals.com takes you through a comprehensive step by step tutorial. It is a LONGGG video so use the links below to skip to the sections!
